The lobby software uses the .Net platform. We specifically use the dot Net 2.0 framework, and anything higher than that is backwards compatable. In other words, if you look in your add/remove programs list and see the dot net 3.0... you should be fine. My *guess* is that is not installed... if it is NOT installed, hit the microsoft site and grab any version from 2.0 up.

If that is NOT the issue, then the client software probably presented you with a box that showed an error, along with a 'details' button... click on the details, and post the contents here.

framework 4? No clue what that is... but you can remove all of them, and reboot... then hit the MS site downloads section, search for and install the 2.0 side, run windows update for security patches, reboot... and try again. If you are still having problems, then I would need to know the contents of the "details" section of the error box.

You can attach an image, you are just using the wrong button to do it. But with that said, you can also email it to the support @ reverbgaming.com address. This can't be that complicated. With THAT said, errors like this usually have a "details" button... this opens up a text area that you can copy, and then paste (as text) into the forum post...

Your choice :)

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

cant uninstall any of the .framenetwork 2.0, 3.5 e.t.c wont let me..i dont even get to the dbs login area, just loads a fucked up lobby. Update:- spent 2 hours running smart defrag , cc cleaner and other scans, then went into windows safe mode, tried to delete .net framework 2.0 and others again, without success.

If you look in "that" folder, this is where Visual Studio (the software that built the client) stores your user configurations. As stated, this is a standard XML file, and at some point (probably caused by an improper shutdown of Windows) this file got trashed.

Check it out if you like, there is nothing special or hidden in it. :) It simply stores your settings, including your login nic and your login password. You WILL note, your password IS encrypted, so that anyone who has access to your system can't see the 'real' password.

If you get errors like that again, just delete the file. The client will create it if its missing.

im still getting problems now caneh :(
the one i got this morning when trying to log in was this...
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/828/errorjt.jpg/
and after sucessfully getting in once i also just got in again after 5 hours later ,without a popup message connection error which is the most recent one, i also got connection error on teamspeak 3 also i duno whether its linked to getting into the lobby either. I just hope this isnt an ongoing thing, that might have been caused by overinstalling the registry to much with dbs download or whatever :( as far as trying to reinstall the frameworks in my control panel i still get told by windows that its not allowed and get an after message saying fatal error with installation of each one.

Our new hosting service has been having some hiccups with their equipment. Hopefully they have the issues solved now, this is the second time in less than a week....
