"Failed to initialize video" error w/ Ultra-wide resolution

I recently got a 3-monitor setup going, at a resolution of 6065x1080. I tried using Crimson Skies with this resolution, only for it to display just white for a few seconds before giving the "failed to initialize video" error. Is there any way to fix this? It seems like one of the best games for multi-monitor.

its an old game.. I think the only solution is to use a more common resolution.

I figured that if a game from 2000 can do 1920x1080, it could do custom resolutions
